Tops expands Chef'd meal kit line to 80 stores

Pressed for time but still want a good home cooked meal? Tops may be able to help.

Tops Friendly Markets have expanded their Chef'd meal kit line to more than 80 stores. 

The dinners are pre-portioned with fresh, simple ingredients and can be made "in as little as 10 minutes often with plenty of leftovers to enjoy the next day."

According to Tops Merchandising VP Jeff Culhane: 

"Chef'd answers the question for the person who says - I still want to feel like I've done all the cooking myself, but I don't want to dedicate two hours to go through the whole process. They are a great option for those looking for a well-balanced meal too. Because they're using fresh ingredients, there are less preservatives. You have a good balance between protein, carbs, and veggies."

There are five new meal flavors:

•  20 Clove Garlic Chicken*
• Black Truffle Butter Sirloin Steak*
• Smoky Maple Pork Loin*
• Chicken Tikka Masala*
• Fried Chicken and Waffles*
• Weeknight Chicken Pad Thai
• Herb Crusted Flank Steaks
