A popular tourist destination in Niagara County is being asked to shut down before fall activities begin.
According to the Town of Cambria website, a cease and desist order has been issued against the Sunflowers of Sanborn.
The order states that the sunflower spot is violating a zoning ordinance by "operating a business prohibited in an R-1 Zone," which is a residential area.
The town is also ordering Sunflowers of Sanborn to cancel the planned activities for October 20 and October 27.
According to the Sunflowers of Sanborn Facebook page, they plan to remain open over the weekend.
