Town of Niagara Police are thanking the Western New York community for its outpouring of support for a family who recently lost everything in a fire.
In this Facebook post, the Town of Niagara Police say that the Monnen family has received so many clothing and toy donations they can't accept any more.
Carl Monnen and his three young children lost their home in the Cayuga Village on Monday after a fire broke out around 1 p.m on Monday.
Police believe it started in a dryer. Heavy smoke and flames were already coming from the trailer when fire crews arrived on scene.
Though firefighters tried to save the trailer, it was a total loss. Two trailers next door suffered minor exposure damage.
Town of Niagara Police were so distraught about they situation, they posted a call for help on their facebook page.
While the family is no longer accepting clothing and toys donation, there is a GoFundMe page set up to help them get back on their feet.
