Firefighters responded to a fire at a vacant home on Thompson Street in Buffalo just after 10:30 p.m. Thursday night.
Upon arrival, the house was completely engulfed in flames, and firefighters called in a second alarm. Neighbors living in apartments next door left the building, as a ladder crew tried to protect their homes from exposure.
Firefighters were able to protect the neighboring apartments and the scene was under control by 12:30 a.m. Friday. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
