The Buffalo Fire Department had to rescue a person from a vehicle following a crash on Main Street overnight Friday.
It happened just after 1 a.m. in front of Sisters of Charity Hospital.
An eyewitness told 7 Eyewitness News that the car crashed into his parked Jeep Wrangler and that the force of the crash propelled his Jeep 180-degrees into a fire hydrant. The car came to rest a few feet away.
Firefighters used hydraulic tools to free a passenger from the mangled car's front seat. Both the driver and the passenger were taken to Erie County Medical Center for treatment.
Buffalo police so no charges have been filed at this time.
