A man and a woman were rescued from the Niagara River Monday morning near the Foot of Ferry.
A fisherman tells 7 Eyewitness News that the woman went over the railing first. The man went in after the woman in an attempt to rescue her, according to the fisherman.
Woman pulled from water is being checked out in ambulance. She seems hostile, yelling and swearing at officers and EMTs. One man also pulled from water. He seems to be ok. Fishermen say he was a strong swimmer. Man went in after this woman, unsure why she went over rail @WKBW pic.twitter.com/GsoXPwWSV9

Fishermen used poles to lead them to a ladder and get them out of the water.
First responders did treat both the man and woman on the scene.
This is the same area on the Niagara River where two men drowned one week prior to this incident.
