Lake effect snow storms continue to fascinate many people with their ability to bury areas while leaving other parts sun-filled and clear.
It really depends on the wind that passes over Lake Erie, picking up moisture, and then dropping it in the form of heavy snow in areas along the wind's path.
In typical fashion, today's storm left residents in the South Towns and Southern Tier digging out, while people in Buffalo enjoyed bright sun and blue sky for most of the day.
Reporter Ed Reilly shows us what it looked like in the different areas.
