Sixty pound sandbags couldn't withstand the heavy rains and winds on Lake Ontario Thursday.
The wind and rain isn't helping the severe flooding issue for residents there.
Fire crews from eight Niagara County Departments spent the night replacing sandbag walls that had been knocked down by wind and rain.
People like Carol Ralicki, who lives on Water street says she's had enough of the flooding.
"The yard is part of the lake right now," she said. "We had to turn off our hot water tank, and they said if it continues we'll have to turn off our electric and our gas."
Fire crews say they will be back out Friday morning to build the walls back up.
