Warm clothing collection drive begins next week

Posted

The longest-running warm clothing drive in the Buffalo area begins later this month, and organizers need your help.  On November 26th, M&T Bank will begin collecting coats, mittens, gloves, scarves and hats for those in need.

The "Gift of Warmth" started in 1985.  Over the years, more than 28,000 winter clothing items have been distributed through the Salvation Army of Buffalo.  This year, organizers are hoping to collect 3,500 items.

You can drop off donations at any of the 65 M&T Bank branches.  Branches in Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Niagara, Orleans and Wyoming Counties participate.  Donations will be collected from November 26th - January 4th.
