We Care Transportation, the region's largest non-emergency medical transportation providers, announced they will begin operating in the Utica area in February 2018.
The expansion has created 30 job positions to fill.
The organization will open their new office and schedule interviews for CDL drivers and bus aides within the next few weeks.
“As we begin to offer transportation services in the area, we will have immediate needs and will be providing offers at the time of interview for most positions,” We Care’s Transportation Director Christopher Henry said.
To service those in need of specialty transportation, We Care will place 10-12 specially-equipped passenger buses and 2-3 wheelchair vehicles in the area.
We Care Transportation currently gives rides to over 1,600 people daily based out of their Buffalo, Niagara Falls and Java Center locations.
