Don't Buy It Before We Try It: Magnetic Eyelashes

Posted
and last updated

Magnetic eyelashes promise to add volume and length to your lashes without glue, irritation, or causing damage to your natural lashes.  There are a lot of brands to try, but we bought ours, which are called "Magnetic Lashes" on Amazon.  We got a case with two pairs for $19.90.

Before you put them on, you have to separate the lashes, finding a top and a bottom.  Then, you place one lash on top (or on bottom) of your own lashes, and then place the other lash on the opposite side so the magnets connect.

In our tests, we found that it was difficult to get the lashes close enough to your eyelid for them to look "real".  As we practiced, however, we did get better at it.  We also found that it was much easier to use them when our testers already had mascara on, because it helps hold the lashes in place.

Initially the lashes were time-consuming, because you have to get used to the process of putting them on, but after we did it a few times we got better at it.  Because they took time to use, and they are supposed to save you time, we gave them three out of five stars.
