A weekend accident has claimed the life of a motorcyclist in the southern tier.
According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office, 50-year-old Paul Diaz was killed Saturday evening after being struck by a car on Farrington Hollow Road in the Town of Cherry Creek.
Investigators say 47-year-old Jassen Sherman failed to yield the right of way when backing out of a driveway, hitting Diaz.
Sherman is due back in the Town of Cherry Creek Court at a later late.
