The days of driving to the grocery store for last-minute meals are over. Wegmans and Instacart are expanding same-day delivery to Western and Central New York.
The service allows Wegmans customers to complete their grocery shopping online, and have their orders delivered to their doors in as little as an hour.
Wegmans shoppers will be able to fill their virtual carts with all their favorite products by visiting instacart.wegmans.com or by downloading the Instacart app.
There is a $10 minimum on orders, with a $5.99 delivery charge. For the first order, delivery is absolutely free.
At check out, customers can add their Wegmans Shoppers Club member number to receive discounts and choose a delivery window within one hour, or up to seven days in advance.
The same-day delivery service will launch in Buffalo-area stores on Aug. 1, Rochester-area stores on Aug. 8, and Syracuse-area stores on August 15.
