ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WKBW) — For the fifth straight year, Wegmans has named #1 on the list of Best Workplaces in Retail by Great Place to Work and FORTUNE magazine.
Workplaces are ranked based on anonymous survey responses. The responses represent more than 900,000 employees, though it's unclear how many employees are surveyed. Respondents are questioned on their employer's company culture, including equity and diversity, management and trust. Other familiar names in the Retail Top 10 include CarMax and Target.
In addition to coming in #1 on the retail list, Wegmans is ranked #3 on the overall list of 100 Best Companies to Work For in 2020, also compiled by FORTUNE magazine.
