Some parents may be sad to spend less time with their kids when school starts and others may be relieved to have some time to get more chores done around the house, but either way we've got tips for you and your kids before the first day of kindergarten!
We caught up with Ms. Lori Etienne and Ms. Kelly Vogel at Country Parkway Elementary in Williamsville for their advice. Both teachers have more than a decade of teaching experience under their belts.
First, we asked them what we should know about the first day of school. The answer? It's a lot of work. It's a team effort for the entire school. Administrators are working on getting the office ready, cafeteria staff are working on preparing hundreds of meals, the custodial staff has been hard at work all summer cleaning and making repairs and teachers have spent weeks cutting things out, laminating, organizing and setting up their classrooms.
