Our "What's Going on With..." series continues with an update on the Ferry Street lift bridge in Buffalo.
7 Eyewitness News Anchor Jeff Russo reached out to Buffalo Public Works commissioner Steve Stepniak for the latest on the on-going construction.
Stepniak says construction on the bridge began in the fall of 2014 and is on schedule to be completed in the spring of 2016.
"What you are seeing now is part of a $8.5 million project. We are doing the painting now. We have done the stripping of the metal," said Stepniak. "The majority of it has been structural with some mechanical repairs. They are all going on schedule."
