NYSEG crews were working hard to restore power to parts of Erie County, Tuesday night.
At the height of the outage, approximately 11,000 NYSEG customers were without power, primarily in the Clarence Center, Cheektowaga, East Amherst areas.
A spokesperson with the utility company says two sub-stations, one in Elma, the other in Clarence Center were damaged by high winds Tuesday evening.
As of Tuesday night, only 680 outages remained in Cheektowaga.
