Williamsville man arrested for DWI for drugs with toddler in the car

The Town of Tonawanda Police Department arrested a Williamsville man for driving on drugs with a toddler in the car.

Police spotted 36-year old Michael Batt of Williamsville committing several vehicle and traffic violations at about 12:30pm, on Kenmore Ave near Starin on Sunday, April 23rd.

Officers pulled him over and say that during his communication with the officer, he showed several signs of intoxication.

Batt failed several sobriety tests and was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs.

At the time of his arrest, Batt had a two year old passenger in the car.  The child’s grandfather was called to the scene to take custody of the child.

Batt was charged with: violating Leandra's Law, DWI drugs, and endangering the welfare of a child.  He is due back in court on May 15th.
