CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Buffalo Niagara International Airport has broken ground on $65 million in construction.
The new construction will be changing multiple aspects including departures, baggage claim, and exterior parts of the airport.
According to Congressman Brian Higgins (D-Buffalo), this investment comes as a result of the continued growth in the City of Buffalo.
"This is indivatice of a place that people want to come to" Congressman Higgins said, "You don't expand when you're declining, you expand when you're advancing."
Construction began on Monday, and will take about three years to complete.
