LACKAWANNA, N.Y. (WKBW) — Calling all developers!

The Buffalo and Erie County Industrial Land Development Corporation (ILDC) is requesting proposals for constructing a manufacturing spec building at the former Bethlehem Steel site.

A parcel of more than ten acres is available at the Dona Street Extension for purchase to developers who will construct a light manufacturing warehouse facility that's at least 120,000 square feet.

"This is the latest step in our vision to redevelop land that housed what was once the economic driving force of our community," said Erie County Executive Mark C. Poloncarz, who also serves as Chair of the ILDC.

The building design should include the following

  • Office space
  • Parking
  • Truck docks
  • Ceiling heights appropriate for typical light manufacturing and or warehouse uses

Responses to the proposal request are due March 13, 2020.
