BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — It's a first look at what the future may hold for the North Aud Block at Canalside. The Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation held a public open house on Wednesday to share preliminary design concepts and seek feedback from community members for development on the former Memorial Auditorium Block.
The ECHDC unveiled three different conceptual designs which all include commercial and resident components along with plans for parking.
In 2018, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced $10 million in funding to transform the North Aud Block. The ECHDC says the project aims to reintroduce portions of the block's historic street grid, including walkable areas.
TY Lin International was selected by the ECHDC to design bid and provide construction services to the project.
Here is a look at the concepts shared on Wednesday.
