BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Restaurateur Mike Shatzel has seen the Buffalo beer scene grow, and wants the world to see that.

"In my mind we have world craft breweries here," Shatzel said, "making great beer."

It's why he is excited to see "The Festival" come to town.

"The top beer festival I've ever been to and I've been to a few" Shatzel said.

"The Festival" is a beer fest done by Shelton Brothers Importers. In its eighth year, it provides beer lovers the chance to be face to face with the actually brewers that create the beer they drink.

"Really cool interaction to talk to them about what they made" Shatzel said.

The festival will take place the weekend of October 4th at a location that has yet to be announced. Over 90 breweries are expected to attend in what could be a profitable weekend for Buffalo.

"This is a great opportunity for Buffalo to shine in front of not only the entire country, but the rest of the world" Shatzel said.

Previously, The Festival was held in cities such as Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Denver.
