Public meeting for Elmwood Crossing met with some skepticism

On Thursday, a public meeting was held for neighbors to give their opinions and learn more about "Elmwood Crossing". 

"We will not settle for second best just to get something done" Jeremy Toth said. 

Announced during the meeting was the desire to transition the plot of land that the old Children's Hospital sits on into a Planned Unit Development (PUD). This must be done because the current plans for Elmwood Crossing do not match what is legally allowed. 

"Almost the entire project that's proposed is against the current zoning rules." Assemblyman Sean Ryan said, "So they'll need variances on every part of the project."
