WNYers headed to Washington D.C. to 'March for Life'

Posted

More than 300 Western New Yorkers are headed to the nation's capitol to protest the Supreme Court's decision to legalize abortion in Roe v. Wade.

The 44th annual March for Life takes place Friday along the National Mall in Washington D.C. Hundreds of thousands of people are expected to show their support for pro-life issues.

Thursday morning, members of the Buffalo Diocese boarded five different buses to the nation's capitol. About 300 people are traveling together.

Buses departed from Alden, Snyder, East Aurora and Lackawanna. Many who did not participate in the women's march from weeks prior because of pro-life platforms will take part in the March for Life.

Counselor to the President, Kellyanne Conway, is expected to be one of the speakers at the march.
