State Police in Olean have arrested 36-year-old Sandra Sherlock, charging her with petit larceny after an incident at Payless ShoeSource on Plaza Drive in Olean.
Troopers responded to the store on September 6. During an interview with the store manager, troopers obtained a description of the suspect and the suspect's vehicle. Based on that description, troopers were able to find Sherlock behind the wheel of a matching vehicle a short time later. Troopers reported that Sherlock was still in possession of stolen merchandise when they apprehended her.
Sherlock was taken to the state police barracks in Olean for processing and released with an appearance ticket for Town of Allegany court.
