New York State Police have arrested 28-year-old Morgan Manfreda-Morton of Ellicottville in connection to a vandalism incident at the Ellicottville Fire Department.

Investigators report Manfreda-Morton is charged with third-degree burglary and second-degree criminal mischief. She is accused of entering the fire department without permission and slashing the tires on several emergency vehicles.

Manfreda-Morton is more than familiar to the Ellicottville Fire Department. She is a volunteer with the department as well as the wife of the former Chief of the fire department, Kevin Morton. Morton resigned from the position a few weeks before the vandalism.

Manfreda-Morton was arraigned on the burglary and criminal mischief charges in Town of Ellicottville Court.
