A Perry woman is facing charges after police found drugs and a 5-year-old child in her car.
Officers pulled over Nichole Dacey Wednesday in the Perry Marketplace parking lot. Police discovered she had an expired permit and a suspended license.
After an investigation, police arrested Dacey for Driving while Ability Impaired by Drugs, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Criminal Possession of a Hypodermic Instrument, Uninspected Motor Vehicle, Unlicensed Operator, Aggravated Unlicensed Operator and Aggravated DWI with a child under 16 years of age.
After searching the vehicle, police say they found a hypodermic instrument and heroin. A 5-year-old child was also in the vehicle and was turned over to the mother who was also in the vehicle.
