An army of payloaders and dump trucks were busy removing the remnants of Tuesday’s lake effect snow storm overnight Wednesday.
The snow that buried South Buffalo Tuesday was removed to a vacant lot off of Memorial Drive near the Central Terminal.

A trucker from Québec was stranded along Bailey Avenue near Seneca Street. He said it took nearly 24-hours for city DPW crews to reach him.
The National Weather Service estimates that around five feet of snow fell on the southern park of the city.
