Rehabilitation work on the Como Lake Park dam will begin this week, Erie County Legislator John Bruso announced today.
The Erie County Department of Parks, Forestry and Recreation and the Department of Public Works will start "removing and replacing the dam's slide gates, removal of deteriorated concrete, and erosion work."
The reconstruction is expected to last most of summer and expected to be done near end of August 2018.
Como Lake will be drained and the flow in Cayuga Creek will be maintained during that time.
