Manda Macaluso, 19, lost her life after colliding with a tractor trailer off Bullis Road in the Town of Marilla, Monday afternoon.
“We talked to a lady on face book who lived across the street. She said she heard a bang. It just seems like she ran a stop sign,” Walton said.
Tim Walton will always remember his friend Manda Macaluso.
“She is a great person. No matter what she was always there and always caring. She did it with a smile on her face,” Friend Tim Walton said.
Now Tim is raising money to help her family including her mom and three siblings.
“GoFundMe.com is to help her family out with funeral costs. We posted last night and there are already $500,” Walton said.
According to Manda's Facebook page, it is not the first time that the family faced tragedy. Manda's cousin also lost his life while on the road.
“Her cousin Eric Fontaine died in a motorcycle accident and she is up there with him. He meant a lot to her,” Walton said.
Friends of Manda will drive from a Tops Friendly Market in Lancaster at 6 p.m. to the scene of the accident in Marilla, Tuesday night.
