Zumbathon to help family who lost house in explosion

Posted

This weekend you can help a North Buffalo family after their house was seriously damaged when a house on Covington Road exploded last week.

The explosion damaged the houses on either side, and one of them belonged to Mariah Tarapacki.  Her coworkers at Terrie's Workout Center say Mariah's house was so damaged that she and her family have to start over from scratch.  On Saturday, the gym is hosting a Zumbathon to raise money for her.  You can make any donation to be part of the event, and all of the money raised will go to the family.

"They've been through some tough times, and I know they're going to come out stronger especially with the help of the North Buffalo community," said Zumba Instructor Robyn Brouer.

Eleven Zumba instructors will be helping with the event.  It takes place from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the gym at 1472 Hertel Aveue.
