BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Niagara Café on Niagara Street in Buffalo has re-opened after a three-month hiatus. One manager calling the day "exciting and hectic."

“I was waiting for it to re-open and I came yesterday, but I was a day early," Niagara Café regular Frank Masella said. "And then I seen it was open today and I wanted to get here, but I didn’t expect it to be this busy.”

For hours, customers entered and exited the Niagara Street restaurant while the phones rang non-stop.

“I’m sure it’ll keep busy every day until word gets out,” manager Lillian Quintana said.

For now, the restaurant is only doing take out, but customers don’t seem to mind.

“It’s just good to see it back in the neighborhood, I’ve been dying to come here. This is my favorite Spanish place to eat,” regular Daniel Burrows said.

The 28-year-old restaurant is open Monday thru Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

“We offer Puerto Rican food," Quintana said. "Our rotisserie chicken is very popular."

Other top dishes include pasteles and roast pork.

“Don’t miss out. Come in here, try it, love it, and you’ll come back again,” Burrows said.
