LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WKBW) — Chiavetta’s in Lockport is serving up a taste of summer.
“We have meals available seven days a week," Lockport manager Jordan Stapf said. "Your classic Chiavetta’s chicken, ribs, pulled pork, brisket. And then, we throw in some specials throughout the week.
Stapf says despite only serving take out, business has been booming.
“It made us implement some things we were thinking about,” he said. Like online ordering!
“We actually gained a little bit of business from it.”
Stapf said the restaurant had to bring in its summer staff to help with the influx of online orders.
“Our take out people are loving it. It's kind of giving them a sense of normalcy," Stapf said.
And with business being so good, the restaurant is giving back.
“We actually just helped feed Kaleida over the last week," Stapf said. "We did all their hospitals. Fed their staff for their day shifts and night shifts.”
The restaurant is even offering discounts for healthcare workers and first responders.
“We are the city of good neighbors. Everybody is willing to help anybody.”
And Stapf says he’s seen this generosity first hand.
“We’ve had people come in and be like, 'My elderly neighbor can’t get out, I wanna get them meals,' and that. We’ve had people taking stuff to different households," he said.
The Lockport location offers curb-side pick-up and delivery seven days a week. The Brant location offers curb-side-pick-up Wednesday-Sunday.
