BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — One local organization is making it easier for low income families to get the food they need, while helping local farmers.

Double Up Food Bucks NYS is adding the following new locations

  • Canal Village Market: 127 W. Center Street, Medina
  • CCE Veggie Van: Varied Locations, Niagara Falls and Lackawanna
  • Creekside Market: 13971 US-62, Collins
  • Enchanted Mountains Farmers Market: 1901 Constitution Avenue, Olean
  • Lewandowski Produce (in the Broadway Market): 999 Broadway, Buffalo
  • Salamanca Farmers Market: 768 Broad Street, Salamanca

The program operates farmers markets and stands and healthy corner stores in low income neighborhoods.

It matches the value of SNAP payments spent on locally grown foods to provide families with additional fresh foods to bring home.
