BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — With some extra time on your hands, many people are doing projects around the house.

Josh Militello lives in Amherst and works as a Plumber. He lives to do projects on the side and says if you're thinking of taking on a DIY project, make sure to stick to your comfort zone.

Projects everyone can do:
-painting
-blinds/curtains
-cleaning windows
-power washing decks
-Reorganize closets
-Changing faucets

But these are the projects you may want to leave to the professionals
-water lines
-sewer work
-gas lines
-structure framing

"People think now's the time to start something new, but when you push too far and don't know what you are doing, that might be the time to stop and wait to call a professional," Militello said.

YouTube is a great resource that can help find how-to-videos. Militello watches Tommy Boy DIYfor tips.
