BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — As all religious services are able to open in Western New York, the Islamic Society of Niagara Frontier is taking every precaution to keep people safe.
"My responsibility is to protect people," said Dr. Shahid Mehboob, director of the Islamic Society of Niagara Frontier.
To protect people at every service at both mosques under the ISNF, everyone in attendance will be wearing masks and be encouraged to hand sanitize.
Additionally, plastic and disposable mats will be used to make sure that there is no cross contamination on the carpets.
"We're advising people bring their own mats so they don't touch the carpet," Dr. Mehboob said.
25 percent capacity is the maximum amount of people allowed at any religious service including mosques.
Dr. Mehboob will be updating their safety information at the ISNF website found here.
