HAMBURG, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Hamburg Fairgrounds will host the Fairgrounds Festival of Lights for its 16th year in December with new restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Erie County Agricultural Society (ECAS) announced three restrictions to the 2020 version of the festival, including:
- Guests must stay in their vehicles, the event will be drive-through only.
- No ticket purchases at the gate-- tickets must be purchased in advance.
- The festival will be open every night in December, except for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Keeping the in-vehicle limitation in mind, the ECAS is designing a new route for the festival including 70 light display variations spread out over 50 acres.
The festival will be open from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. from December 1st through December 31st, with the exception of the 24th and 25th.
Tickets are being sold at all Tops Friendly Markets locations starting on November 1. They can also be purchased online. Tickets are $15, with an additional fee applied to online purchases.
