BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Buffalo Bandits are one step closer to a National Lacrosse League Championship. On Saturday evening, the Bandits topped the Toronto Rock 12-8 in the NLL East Division Final. With the win they move on to the Championship round.
Corey Small led the Bandits with three goals while Shawn Evans and Chase Fraser each added two goals. Goalie Matt Vinc made more than 40 saves in the win.
After finishing the regular season with the best record in the league, the Bandits are looking to secure their 5th NLL Championship and first since 2008.
Buffalo will now head to the NLL Championship where they’ll take on Calgary. During the regular season, the Bandits topped the Roughnecks 12-10 in their only meeting back in February.
