A year ago, the Buffalo Beauts fell short of their goal, falling to the Boston Pride in the Isobel Cup Final.
This time around, the Beauts finished the job and got their revenge, topping the Pride 3-2 to secure the franchise's first championship.

Still leading by two in the second period, Corinne Buie fired home what proved to be the game-winning goal to give the Beauts a 3-0 lead.
The Pride struck for two in the final frame, but couldn't fire home the equalizer. Buffalo goalie Brianne McLaughlin stopped 60 of the 62 shots she faced.
