The Buffalo Bills were hopeful that former Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Jets running back Dri Archer would help fill the vacancy at both kickoff and punt returner. The Bills claimed the speedy player from the Jets off waivers, but that's where it may end.
The team announced Wednesday that they've placed Archer on the Reserve/Did Not Report list. Archer was not required by the team to be there for any of the current voluntary workouts, which would make it fair to assume that Archer did not report for a team physical after he was claimed by the Bills.
Archer ran the second-fastest 40-yard dash in the history of the NFL Scouting Combine, but it appears at this point it's unlikely that he plays for the Bills in 2016.
