PHILADELPHIA, PA. (WKBW) — 7 Sports Director Matt Bove breaks down a back-and-forth matchup between the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles that ended in the Bills losing 37-34 in overtime.
The Eagles got on the board first and took a 7-0 lead with about one minute left in the first quarter. The Bills took a 10-7 lead about midway through the second quarter and then tacked on another touchdown and took a 17-7 lead into halftime.
In the second half, the teams went back and forth, trading scoring drives. Eagles kicker Jake Elliott kicked a 59-yard field goal with about 20 seconds left in the fourth quarter to tie the game.
Despite having 20 seconds on the clock and one timeout the Bills took a knee and the game went to overtime.
The Bills won the toss and received the ball to start overtime but were only able to kick a field goal to make it 34-31.
The Eagles had a chance to answer back and that's exactly what they did. Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts led a nine-play 75-yard touchdown drive to win the game 37-34.
