ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. [WKBW] — With the Buffalo Bills week one matchup against the New York Jets around the corner, rookie quarterback Jake Fromm practiced alone as a precaution on Wednesday.
The team decided to have Fromm practice away from the rest of his teammates as a precautionary measure to ensure his availability if either Josh Allen or Matt Barkley were to test positive for COVID-19.
Fromm will practice away from the rest of his team periodically throughout the season.
The rookie quarterback made the Bills 53-man roster after limited reps during training camp. Fromm was a fifth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Jake Fromm was held out of practice today as a precaution in the event that either of the #Bills other QBs test positive for COVID-19. He will periodically be practicing on his own to ensure the team has an emergency option @WKBW
