BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — He's been given the name "Hausch-$" and the Buffalo Bills are hoping that nickname sticks around.

On Wednesday, the Bills signed kicker Stephen Hauschka to a two-year contract extension. He joined the Bills in 2017 and was entering the final year of his original contract.

Last season, Hauschka hit 17 consecutive field goals, the second longest streak in Bills history. He also became the 10th active player in the NFL to reach 1,000 career points. He's 54-of-55 on point after attempts in his two seasons with the Bills. Hauschka has hit 2-of-4 field goal attempts and 9-of-9 point after attempts this preseason.

Before joining the Bills, Hauschka spent six seasons with Seattle.
