BUFFALO, N.Y. [WKBW] — Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Ed Oliver was arrested in his hometown of Houston Saturday night.

According to the Montgomery County Jail, Oliver was charged with one count of driving while intoxicated and one count of unlawfully carrying a weapon.

In a statement, the Buffalo Bills said Sunday: “We are aware of the situation and we are gathering more information. We will have no further comment at this point”

According to the Montgomery County Police Reporter, Oliver was spotted driving dangerously in a construction zone by another driver, who then called the police. Oliver had an open beer can between his legs and was given a field sobriety test, according to the report. After searching Oliver's truck, police found a pistol.

Oliver, selected by the Bills in the first-round in 2019, recorded five sacks and 43 tackles during his rookie season.
