BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The UB men's basketball team is moving on up. The Bulls are now ranked 16th after the latest AP national rankings were released Monday afternoon, three spots better than their previous ranking (19th).
The Bulls are coming off a week where they went 2-0 in Mid-American Conference play. They beat Toledo last Tuesday 110-80 and then followed it up with an 88-64 win over Miami (OH) on Saturday. Both games were played at Alumni Arena.
The team sits at 15-1 overall on the season with a 3-0 MAC record, good for first in the Conference. CJ Massinburg leads the team in scoring so far this season, averaging 17.2 points a game.
Next up for the Bulls is a road game against Western Michigan on Tuesday night. They'll return to Alumni Arena Friday night against Eastern Michigan. Both games are set to tip off at 7 p.m.
