The UB football team grabbed their third straight win Saturday evening with a 27-13 win over Kent State in their Mid-American Conference opener.
UB was missing starting QB Tyree Jackson after he suffered a knee injury in last week's win over Florida Atlantic University. Backup Drew Anderson stepped in and finished 11-of-18 for 142 yards and a touchdown. He added 76 yards on the ground off five carries.
Running back Emmanuel Reed had himself a day. The game's leading rusher finished with 144 yards off 33 carries and reached the endzone three times.
The Bulls are now 3-2 and have more wins already than all of last year.
They're back in action Saturday, October 7th when they host Western Michigan.
