BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Hilbert College has joined surrounding schools by canceling athletic practices and competitions for the spring season.
In a press release the school said they feel "this decision is in the best interest of the health and safety of our student-athletes, coaches, staff members, campus and outlying communities".
Spring sports at Hilbert College include men's and women's lacrosse, baseball, and softball.
The Hilbert College athletic department says they plan to work with the NCAA regarding the eligibility waiver process that has been approved by the Division III Management and Presidents Councils.
