It was a tale of two halves for the UB football team on Saturday. Down 17-7 at the half, the Bulls scored 24 unanswered points and kept the Toledo Rockets off the board in the second half en route to a 31-17 win.
With the win the Bulls improved to 7-1 on the season and 4-0 in Mid-American Conference play.
The first half was one to forget for the Bulls who trailed 7-0 early. QB Tyree Jackson threw three interceptions while WR Anthony Johnson hauled in the lone touchdown of the first half.
In the second half, the Bulls began things with a field goal to cut the lead to seven and then tied it up after Johnson caught his second TD of the day. Freshman RB Jaret Patterson gave the Bulls their first lead with his first of two rushing touchdowns. He finished with 90 rushing yards in the win.
Jackson finished 25-of-46 for 326 yards, three interceptions and two touchdowns. He also took five sacks.
UB will be back in action on Tuesday, October 30th when they host Miami (OH).
