Blake Hamilton scored 21 points and went 12-for-12 from the charity stripe and CJ Massinburg chipped in with 18 to power the UB Men's Basketball team to first Mid-American Conference victory, a 77-68 win over Eastern Michigan on Saturday.
The Bulls, which had lost three of their past four, improve to 7-8 overall and 1-1 in the MAC.
Trailing Eastern Michigan 54-48 with more than 11 minutes to play in the game, the Bulls turned the tide with a 17-2 run to open up a 65-56 lead.
The Eagles answered back, pulling to within 67-66 with four minutes to play, but the Bulls ended the game on a 10-2 run which included UB going 6-for-6 from the free throw line in the final minute of action.
UB returns to the hardwood on Tuesday, Jan. 10, when they face Ohio at Alumni Arena. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
