BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The win streak has come to an end for the UB men's basketball team. The Bulls fell on the road Tuesday night to Ohio in a 80-69 loss that dropped them to 18-10 overall and 9-6 in the Mid-American Conference.
The Bulls got off to a sluggish start and an 18-0 hole after failing to score any points in the first 7:00 of game clock. Jayvon Graves scored the first basket of the game to get the Bulls going and wound up making it a 13-point game at the half. The Bulls were able to cut the deficit to single digits in the second half but were never able to completely overcome their slow start.
Graves finished with a team-high 16 points including grabbing his 1,000th career point. Antwain Johnson added 15 points while Josh Mballa chipped in with 13 points and seven rebounds.
UB will return home this Saturday when they host Akron. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m.
